Girl Talk audio & video
From 2009-2013, I had the honor of co-curating Girl Talk, a spoken word and performance series promoting dialogue about relationships of all kinds between queer transgender women and queer cisgender women. The show was the brainchild of Gina de Vries, and Elena Rose eventually joined us in co-curating the shows. I am no longer involved in Girl Talk, so if you are interested in future events or booking Girl Talk for your local college/community, you should contact Gina & Elena via the Girl Talk Facebook page.

The main reason why I created this page is because I am routinely asked by folks if there is any way to watch or listen to past Girl Talk shows. The answer is yes! However, for a long time these have been scattered across the interwebs. So on this page, I compile all the various links to audio and video from the first five years of Girl Talk.

Girl Talk 2009
This was the first Girl Talk show. Bios for the entire cast can be found at the link above. I recorded the show on my iPOD - that mp3 can be listened to here (warning, it was done on an iPOD, so it is fairly lo-fi in quality). Here is the time-tracking for that recording:
0:00:00 Pam's introduction
0:03:16 Gina
0:17:39 Ryka
0:32:26 Tina
0:42:26 Lauren
1:06:23 Nomy
1:19:23 Rose
1:33:09 Dorian
1:46:17 Julia

Girl Talk 2010
Bios for the entire cast can be found at the link above. Once again, I recorded the show on my iPOD, however it needed to be edited, and I never got around to it. So for now, audio is not available.

Girl Talk 2011
Bios for the entire cast can be found at the link above. The entire 2011 show was video recorded by the awesome folks at Handbasket Productions. They uploaded the entire 2011 Girl Talk to YouTube - here is the playlist!.

Girl Talk 2012
Bios for the entire cast can be found at the link above. The entire 2012 Girl Talk show was video recorded by the excellent Mark McBeth. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a central playlist for the show. But you can hunt down individual video performances by googling: “mark mcbeth” vimeo “name-of-individual-artist”. (note: Mark records lots of events, so you may also find videos of that artist performing at other Girl Talk and/or Queer Cultural Center sponsored shows as well.) If you want to watch video of my Girl Talk 2012 performance, you can do so here.

Girl Talk 2013
Bios for the entire cast can be found at the link above. The entire 2013 Girl Talk show was video recorded by the excellent Mark McBeth. Fortunately, there is a centralized playlist for the show where you can watch all the videos. If you want to watch video of my Girl Talk 2013 performance, you can do so here.
