stuff to buy!
Here is a complete list of my books and music that are available for purchase. (note: If you are interested in signed copies of my books and/or free e-books, I often give those out as rewards to my Patreon supporters, so please consider supporting me there!)

My latest book is Outspoken: A Decade of Transgender Activism and Trans Feminism! A finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Nonfiction, Outspoken collects forty-eight of my previously unpublished trans-themed writings, including my early slam poems, numerous essays and manifestos written around the same time as (and in some cases, originally slated for) my previous books Whipping Girl and Excluded, plus more recent work!

The paperback version of Outspoken lists for $17 (or $15 at Amazon), and is available for purchase from most online outlets, and select book stores (through Ingram). E-books list for $9.99 and are available on all the usual platforms (Kindle, Nook, iTunes Books, etc.), although I highly recommend ordering it through Smashwords, where for one price you can get the book in all formats DRM-free (epub, mobi/Kindle, pdf, lrf, pdb, txt, html). You can also download the first 10% of the book for free through Smashwords.

If you are interested in purchasing a signed copy of Outspoken directly from me -- made out to you, or whomever you wish -- you can order that here via PayPal for $25, plus $3 shipping. It will be sent by USPS Media Mail, which usually takes about a week to arrive, but is (unfortunately) limited to U.S. addresses. If you live outside the U.S. and/or want to receive it sooner, and are willing to pay the extra shipping fees to make this happen, feel free to contact me, and perhaps we can work something out!

Here is the button to order your signed copy -- once you have placed your order, please email me at with any signing instructions (e.g., the name of the person you would like me to make it out to, or if you prefer just my signature).

My second book, Excluded: Making Feminist and Queer Movements More Inclusive (2013), can be purchased (in paperback & e-book) at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Powell's (Portland independent bookstore), Giovanni’s Room (Philly-based LGBTQ bookstore), Women and Children First (Chicago feminist bookstore), or at a local independent bookstore near you.
My first book, Whipping Girl: A Transsexual Woman on Sexism and the Scapegoating of Femininity (2007, second edition in 2016), can be purchased (in paperback, e-book, & now audiobook!) at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Powell's (Portland independent bookstore), Giovanni’s Room (Philly-based LGBTQ bookstore), Women and Children First (Chicago feminist bookstore), or at a local independent bookstore near you.
I also write silly, surreal, sex-positive fiction under the pen name/alter ego Kat Cataclysm. You can purchase Kat’s debut chapbook, General Surgery & Surgeons General (2016), at Amazon (in paperback & Kindle e-book) and CreateSpace.

You can learn all about my musical endeavors on my music webpage. If you are interested in listening to or downloading digital copies of my noise-pop music projects Bitesize and *soft vowel sounds*, you can do so via those links (courtesy of Bandcamp).

For those of you who are old-school and prefer physical CDs of my music, you can order them from me below (via PayPal). Click on the picture to find out more info about the item. If you do decide to purchase something, click the "Add to Cart" button to the right. When you think you've spent enough money, click the "View Cart" button to check out. You will be billed a small shipping/handling fee in addition to your purchase. Note: unfortunately, I am only able to fulfill orders from the U.S. for this amount/fee, as the shipping costs are far more expensive otherwise. My apologies.
